This feels like another case of the US using the "terrorist" label to justify intervention and sanctions, which usually ends up hurting regular Venezuelans way more than the corrupt elites they're supposedly targeting.

Honestly, this feels like another example of the US using heavy-handed tactics instead of supporting real democratic reforms in Venezuela. Labeling organizations as terrorist groups and ramping up sanctions often hurts ordinary people more than those in power. Social democracies should focus on diplomacy, supporting civil society, and fostering fair elections, not just more crackdowns and isolation. If we actually want positive change, engagement and humanitarian support would go a lot further than these old-school power plays.

Yet another example of the US government sticking its nose in other countries' business while pretending it's all about fighting crime, not power.

It’s about time the US started calling out these communist thugs for what they really are—terrorists. Maduro and his cronies have turned Venezuela into a narco-state while pretending to be champions of the people. Communism always leads to corruption, misery, and crime, and this cartel is just one more example. Hopefully, these new sanctions will finally put some pressure on that illegitimate regime and its criminal buddies.
