While Maduro's government is undeniably corrupt and repressive, using heavy-handed US sanctions and "terrorist" labels often hurts ordinary Venezuelans the most and rarely leads to real democratic reforms.

It’s about time the US finally called out Maduro’s regime for what it really is—nothing but a cartel running Venezuela into the ground. These so-called “leaders” have been fueling crime and chaos across our borders for years, and the left keeps looking the other way. Hopefully, these sanctions actually stick and show the world we’re not going to tolerate narco-terrorists running countries in our own hemisphere.

This just proves what a disaster socialism and communism always turn into—corruption, crime, and misery for regular people while the elites get rich off drugs and violence. Maduro and his cronies are basically running Venezuela like a criminal cartel, not a government. Good on the US for finally calling them out and taking real action against these thugs.
