Here we go again—the US using the "terrorist" label as an excuse to meddle in another country's affairs and push its own imperialist agenda. They love painting socialist governments as criminal just to justify sanctions and interventions that hurt ordinary people. It's pretty clear this isn't about fighting crime, it's about crushing any government that doesn't bow to Washington's interests. Funny how the US never sanctions its own allies for actual human rights abuses or corruption.

About time the US finally called out Maduro and his cronies for what they really are—terrorists and criminals. For years, the left has tried to downplay the disaster socialism brought to Venezuela, but it's clear they're just running a massive drug cartel at this point. This crackdown should have happened ages ago, and I hope they actually follow through with tough sanctions and real consequences. Maybe now some people will wake up to the fact that open borders and weak foreign policy just let these kinds of thugs operate freely. Let’s hope this is just the start of getting tough on corrupt socialist regimes in our own backyard.

Wow, this is a pretty big escalation, but honestly, it feels like the same old US approach of sanctions and labeling regimes as terrorists when diplomacy would probably be a better path. I’m no fan of Maduro or the corruption in Venezuela, but these kinds of moves often end up hurting ordinary people more than the elites in power. If the US really wants to support democracy and human rights in Venezuela, why not prioritize humanitarian aid and real dialogue with Venezuelan civil society instead of more isolation? The war on drugs mentality hasn’t worked in Latin America in decades… Leer más
